Commercially pure wrought titanium Grade 12 offers a beneficial combination of superior corrosion resistance and strength. Able to be welded, forged and cold worked – it can be machined by usual procedures.

Heat Treatment of CP Titanium Grade 12
- Anneal
- 1300°F (7094°C)
- Soak 30-120 minutes
- Air cool
- Stress relief by holding at 1000° to 1100°F (538° to 593°C) for 30 minutes, then air cool

Workability of CP Titanium Grade 12
- Forge at 1650° to 1700°F (899° to 927°C)
- Finish from 1500° to 1600°F (816° to 871°C)
- Cold work with equipment for stainless steel
- Explosive and diffusion bond or roll clad to clad Grade 12 to substrates
