Forged Discs And Hubs
All Metals & Forge Group produces forged discs & hubs in carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, titanium, nickel, aluminum, and tool steel. Forged discs can be defined as a round where the OD exceeds the length. Forged hubs are essentially step shafts that may have equal or unequal steps on each end, or a single step on one end.
Disc And Hub Maximum Diameters
Using carbon, alloy and stainless steel: max diameter is 84 inches with a max length of 108 inches.
Using nickel and super alloys: max diameter is 50 inches with a max length of 65 inches.
Using aluminum: max diameter is 72 inches with a maximum length of 96 inches.
Using titanium: max diameter is 52 inches in titanium with a max length of 65 inches.
Forged discs and hubs are much shorter in length than round bars, but may have substantial mass. They are used in a wide range of machinery for manufacturing applications. The maximum diameter for forged discs and hubs in carbon, alloy and stainless steel is 96 inches with a maximum weight of 75,000 pounds, 50 inches in nickel and super alloys with a maximum weight of 20,000 pounds, 80 inches in aluminum with a maximum weight of 15,000 pounds, and 65 inches in titanium with a maximum weight of 10,000 pounds.
