All Metals & Forge Group produces forged gear shapes for single hub, double hub, and other near net shapes for finish machining into several different shapes. Our capabilities include forging, heat treating, machining (rough machined to 250 RMS, finish machining and grinding), and ultrasonic testing with complete reports.

PROCESS OF FORGING GEAR BLANKS

All Metals & Forge Group uses a seamless rolled ring process that offers forged gear blank manufacturers shape, size and material flexibility, lower volume requirements, and near net shapes to save on final machining costs.  Higher quality and increased strength and wear in forged gear blanks is achieved from contoured grain flow, reduced grain size and thermal processing that improves mechanical properties and metallurgical soundness from the open die forging process. All of our forgings are rough machined to allow for final machining.
